ATTENTION WINTER SURFERS

ATTENTION WINTER SURFERS 〰️

TEXAS WINTERS Are TYpically mild with many sunny, 70+ days. The Water temp is always cooler on Lake Austin and doesn’t drop much lower, but you’ll still feel the chill Getting out of the water and just riding in the boat. Below are some key tips you can USE TO combat the cool and enjoy your time on the lake.

NEOPRENE WHILE IN THE WATER:

Invest in a Quality Wetsuit. A 3/2mm wetsuit will keep you comfortable while surfing and even more comfortable while riding in the boat between sets. Opt for a full suit with long sleeves and legs for maximum insulation. You can get away with a shortie as long as you have something to wrap up in or change into when you get out of the water.

BETWEEN SURF SETS:

Layer Up for the Boat. Bring a windproof jacket, pants, beanie, socks and/or oversized towel to wrap over your wetsuit while riding in the boat between sets.

Hot Drinks Are Key
Pack a thermos with hot coffee, tea, or cocoa to enjoy on the boat. It’s a great way to stay warm and hydrated.

AFTER YOUR SURF SETS

Have Something Dry To Change Into. After you surf sets, the fastest way to warm up is changing into something dry! A surf poncho can double as a quick cover-up for changing. Layers you can easily take off once you’re dry and warmed back up are key.

Book nOW to RESERVE your Spot

  • 100% of payment at time of booking is required to secure your time and date.

A 20% gratuity is recommended to your crew for precision driving, instructing and providing an unparalleled experience.

Cancellation policy: You have 4 day window prior to your scheduled date/time to reschedule or cancel. If you cancel your session within a 24hr window of your scheduled date/time you will not be refunded.

  • Meet up locations vary depending on the time of day. For the 7am sessions we meet at the bridge, all other times will most likely meet at Commons Ford Park for better water conditions and parking situation.

Please Arrive 10-15 mins early so that we can have our first rider in the water as close to start time as possible. This is absolutely the BEST place to surf. Parking is FREE! There are more natural shores to absorb the wakes and a lot less boat traffic to ride through, creating an overall better surf experience for everyone.

  • We provide all wake style USCG-approved life vests, wakesurf boards and ropes. If you have your own wetsuit, please bring it. An iced cooler with water bottles, boat friendly snacks and towels will be provided.

  • Prior to leaving, we recommend checking the weather and dressing for slightly cooler conditions than stated for spring and fall months, consider more uv protection cooling type garments for hot summer months.

    We also recommend:

    • Beverages you want to drink on the boat. An iced cooler with bottled water will be provided.

    • Wear your swimwear

    • Hat or a Lycra garment to keep the sun off you.

    • Shoes are not needed nor allowed once you board the(or any) boat.

    • Please apply sunscreen prior to boarding.

    • A small backpack to keep your personal items together.

  • None. Each person will need to reserve their own spot. We recommend booking a group charter if you would like to put a private group together!

  • Rain or shine, we are out there, but if the weather is not to our liking, we may reschedule you in upcoming time slots that are available or give you a full refund. If lightning or inclement weather arises during your surf adventure, your safety comes first, and we will respond accordingly.
